Ninth District Court of Appeals for Ohio, Case No. 19 AP 0017, Wayne County Court of Common Pleas, Case No. 2018 CRC-I 000226. Appeal on behalf of Defendant Bryant who was sentenced to 10 years to life imprisonment for sex offenses against a 5 year old child resulted in one of his two convictions being overturned and dismissed, with the remaining count being reversed and remanded to the trial court. A motion to dismiss will be filed on the grounds of violation of Defendant’s rights against Double Jeopardy should the State of Ohio attempt to continue to pursue the remaining charge.
